You have heard the expression many times - "...make the Yuletide gay", "the gay 90s," and "...don we now our gay apparel". The definition of the word gay in those examples means HAPPY.
Today the word gay is usually used in reference to people who are homosexual. Many bigoted people say that to be a gay person means that you are not, nor ever will be, a happy person. These naysayers spread many lies about gay people. One of the worst lies is that gay people can never fall in love and find peace and contentment.
