Often the debate regarding homosexual acts seems to revolve around two options:

1.  Same-sex attraction is innate, and thus should be acted on in the name of nature, self-interest and/or love.

Honestly, many days I see the state of the world and I just want to cry in hopelessness. 

I see so many people on this forum and in life in general, including myself, who say, "I don't care what God wants, I'm going to do this," or "I know best what's good for me in my life" or whatever else the comment may be.  I say these things less in my life now than I used to, but I'm still guilty of saying them almost daily in some form or another.
